In my studio
Hello, and thank you for visiting!
I live in the Kent countryside, where I work from my home studio. I paint mainly in oils, sometimes layered over acrylics, and incorporating mixed media. My inspiration comes from the coastlines and countryside that surround me, and from my garden.
Painting for me is a blend of challenge and joy. Art has taught me to see the natural world with fresh eyes. I paint most days, and it often feels like a creative reset—an opportunity to explore colour, texture, and form in new ways.
I like to experiment occasionally, partly for the sheer pleasure of painting, and partly to maintain creativity and observational skills, so you will find smaller galleries of portraits and floral art.
One of the greatest rewards is seeing someone connect with a piece I’ve loved creating. I hope my art reflects the passion and energy I try to bring to every brushstroke.
I sell my work direct,, through private commissions, local exhibitions in Kent and Sussex galleries, and the annual Art in June Open Studios programme. My wooden frames are made in house, and I have just launched a series of limited edition giclee prints and limited edition canvas prints.
